  This used to be one of our top choices for vegan food in Austin. The drinks are different but for the most part good. The service and the food quality/ presentation are a hit or miss. After our last experience, we most likely will not be going back to The Beer Plant. When I reached out to the manager who is also the owner, I received plenty of excuses on why our experience wasn't that great. For every problem we experienced, he was prepared with an excuse. He didn't do anything to help our situation and instead of calling me the next day to talk more about it (as promised), he chose to text me about the situation over the course of three days which lead to nothing. It's clear the owner takes great pride in his restaurant and in the food he serves but, in this case, being too prideful has resulted in the loss of customers. At the end if the day, we wanted to not feel ignored and wanted our horrible experience to be made right. Ray simply couldn't do that.

  I’m not vegan but my cousin’s girlfriend is, so they took me here to celebrate my birthday. Honestly, I had the best meal and drinks ever. Beer Plant was hosting something where we had a 6 course meal paired with beer. I had a blast trying out their food and pairings with the beer, because I’m not vegan and much of a beer drinker but I was able to enjoy this place. This place is a very cute/hipster/Austin vibe restaurant.
