- jeremy westineNov 14, 2018★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆I go here because it is so very close to my house but if I need to do a large grocery trip I always go to south congress because this HEB has a poor selection of produce. It is smaller than most HEB's in Austin and the selection for many aisles is limited compared to other locations around town. lastly the checkout is always understaffed and not to disparage all the cashiers but often times they seem bitter and lack luster. The South Congress HEB has a staff that in general seem happier to be there and that does affect my experience it turns out.
I wouldn't avoid this store at all costs, it's not that terrible. But it is important to limit your expectations of an HEB when you come here, otherwise go to a better one.
