  I went to the LASIK Vision Institute in Austin, TX - awesome staff. Loved each and every person that I worked with. The surgeon was so calming and kind and talked you through the procedure (which was so quick) and the doctor that you do your check ups with is very knowledgeable and provides great detail when providing information and answering questions. The only 'negative' thing I have to say is the wait time before the procedure. If you do schedule your procedure, make sure you are one of the first 2 or 3 people scheduled for that day; otherwise, you will spend a good 3-4 hours waiting in a room with numbing drops and a movie that you really can't see. Make sure you are consistent with putting eye drops in. It helps so much with healing and keeps your vision clear. I went in before purchasing the Groupon and they gave me a different price list. As soon as I mentioned the Groupon he switched out the price list and honored the Groupon charge. They try to up-sell the plugs and the 'warranty'...I did neither, but sort of felt like I was looked down upon for not doing it and was a littler nervous because the finance guy made me feel like I was making a mistake. However, they medical staff treated me as if I was any other patient, you have the same doctors orders, and same results. I did mine 12/2017 and its 4/2018 and I would say the first 2 months you feel dryer in the eye area and are scared it won't get better, but it does. I use eye drops occasionally in the morning or at night, but not because I need them just because I have gotten in the habit and know that its good for my eyes on a dry day. I am 100% happy with my decision to go to this office and would encourage anyone who is skeptical or nervous about the procedure to do it. Having 20/20 vision is amazing and I wish I had done it sooner.
