  PROS:
  
  1. The office staff is outstanding. Friendly, professional, and eager to help. All of them! Emily in particular has been relentlessly kind and gracious. She's wonderful.
  2. They have the best fitness center you'll ever find in an apartment complex. There's even an area for deadlifts.
  3. The apartment units are very nice, and the complex is still new.
  4. The MetroRail station is directly across Alexander Avenue, which isn't a busy street. The station feels like it's part of Platform. Speaking of that...
  
  THE METRORAIL STATION:
  
  (My unit directly overlooked the station. I didn't mind at all.)
  
  1. Whenever a train passes, the railroad crossing bells chime. This isn't loud or bothersome.
  2. The MetroRail trains themselves are mostly silent, though on occasion, they honk their horn. This is loud, but it's not nearly as loud as a freight train's horn.
  3. There is a freight train that comes every night, typically just once around 11pm. It absolutely never honks its horn (I believe it’s disallowed from doing so), but being a freight train, it’s nonetheless loud. This didn’t impact my quality of life.
  
  CONS:
  
  1. The surrounding area is not very walkable. If you're car-free and want to move here for easy access to the MetroRail, keep in mind that you'll be struggling to get anywhere except UT during MetroRail's lengthy off-hours. (This is the sole reason I left.)
  2. Parking is limited. Make sure to ask the office about their parking policies!
  
  I enjoyed my time at Platform, and I don't hesitate to recommend 'em.
