  Whenever I go here it's out of absolute necessity. I used to think it was great and convenient due to the hours but I've learned the hard way after several times of showing up with full loads only to leave with mere pennys., cents and small change. I ve been ripped off and scammed. I ve weighed metal before going only to find it somehow change weight in route. I ve cleaned and parted non-ferrous metal to be told it was dirty. Taken bright number one copper and told it was number two, taken ten lbs of absolute number one copper and told is was only three lbs. I ve asked to reweigh and of course they ve already taken it away and therefore can't reweigh. I ve taken loads and they would only take what they wanted then sent me away cause they are closing in ten minutes. I've complained to the owner and all he s ever done was pass the buck to his worker to ask them if they take this or why is this number two instead of one or why is this dirty when obviously not. And it always seems as though everything a person takes here is steel." No , es steel." " No is dirty, so es steel." " Scale closed, es steel only.!" The customer service here is by far the worst of all the recycling centers. It by far pays the worst. And of course they are fast to unload you because they know they are stealing from you and want you out of there as quickly as possible before you know you ve been duped. There is one man there that seems to be honest, he is the taller Hispanic that runs the scales when the owner is not there.....he is the only positive to this business besides staying open till six and being open on Saturdays and Sundays when others are closed. They have a reputation among other recycling centers and more importantly they have a reputation among scrappers and the people of Austin as being dishonest thieves. Just ask around or take a leap of faith and get ripped off in person. I was ignorant and stubborn choosing the latter, I stole from my self!!!!!
